Mr. De Castro’s journey in education is deeply rooted in resilience, gratitude, and a lifelong commitment to shaping the leaders of tomorrow. Inspired by his parents—who, despite not completing formal education themselves, instilled in their children a deep respect for learning—Mr. De Castro understands firsthand the transformative power of education.
He holds a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington, and a Master of Science in Physics from Texas A&M University–Commerce. His passion for creating engaging, student-centered learning environments has earned him multiple Teacher of the Year awards, a testament to his relentless work ethic and belief that learning should be both rigorous and joyful.
Over the years, his leadership journey has taken him from the classroom to district-level impact, serving as an Instructional Coach in Aldine ISD, Assistant Principal in Houston ISD, and Director of Curriculum and Instruction in Corsicana ISD. Now in his 20th year in education, Mr. De Castro continues to lead with purpose, guided by the conviction that education not only opens doors—it changes lives.
