Grading Information
Beginning Sept 22nd, Frank Black Middle School will be implementing new grade weights to ensure a balanced and fair reflection of student learning:
• 40% Daily Grades (at least 1 per week)
• 30% Demonstrations of Learning (DOLs) (at least 1 per week)
• 30% Assessments (at least 2 per grading period)
These changes are designed to provide students with multiple opportunities to show mastery of skills through daily work, end-of-lesson checks for understanding, and formal assessments.
