UIL A+
Frank Black MS is excited to participate in UIL A+ this year (University Interscholastic League A+ Academics) UIL gives students in grades 6, 7, and 8 the opportunity to compete in a variety of academic contests — building skills in writing, math, science, speaking, reading, and more.
Students can choose to compete in one event or multiple events across the season.
The more events we place during a meet, the more points we get as a team! We will attend five tournaments this year. Each meet offers a slightly different set of contests, so students may compete multiple times throughout the year. Students must qualify (place) in an invitational event to qualify for a district meet.
FBMS is participating in the bus package. Ms. Flanagan will share additional information on practice/prep dates, meet event registration, and team transportation options.
